Hi, I'm Elina. I do the homework before I buy.
I'm a mom of two, and we have a dog. So I shop for everyone: vitamins for me, boots for the kids, a bed for the dog, and whatever the kitchen needs this week.
I've bought my share of things that turned out to be useless or broke too soon, and then had to buy them again. At some point I got tired of paying twice. So now I do the homework first: I compare specs, look at the alternatives, read reviews, and check the research when it matters.
Well Spent Mama is where I put all of that, so you don't have to dig through it yourself. Each guide tells you what the options are, which one is for what, and what to skip.
How I put a guide together
- I explain the options in plain words, so you can pick what fits your family, not what's trending.
- I link my sources: makers' specs, independent reviews, and official or medical sources for anything health-related.
- I'm clear about what I've used at home and what I've only researched.
- A “skip” never gets an affiliate link, and brands can't pay to get into my guides. Paid posts are always marked “Sponsored.”
How this site makes money
Some links are affiliate links: if you buy through them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Full details are on the disclosure page.
